The inn used to be called The Black Bull and the present incumbents Tony and Yvonne are carrying on a tradition of hospitality that goes back many generations. In the Bar a good range of drinks including five Real Ales can be enjoyed in a comfortable civilised ambience. In the dining area customers can enjoy a choice of pub favourites, from sandwiches and salads to lasagne and hearty home-made pies. The George Washington is also an excellent base for anyone visiting Leighton Moss and the Southern Lake District. There are five centrally heated En-Suite double rooms.
